Cookie Butter Ice Cream Shake
I tried my best to be a better blogger for the last two weeks, but I failed. I’ve been trying new recipes, doing my best to fit it in my one day off, but 90% of them didn’t turn out nicely. They are still edible, of course, but they are not worth to be shared. At the end of the day, they still made my tummy happy. That’s the most important thing, right? No food wasted.
One of the things I made is this delicious Cookie Butter Ice Cream Shake. You can never go wrong with ice cream shake, right? I mean, if something went wrong, I might consider the idea of closing this blog. I am not even sure if I could call this a recipe because it is very easy.
I needed something to cheer up my frustrated soul. I saw a lonely jar of cookie butter and I had vanilla ice cream… so why not?? I took my blender and in less than 5 minutes, I had a yummy drink that made my sadness away. This is even better than the one I bought from a park a few months ago.
There are only a few things you’ll need to make this – vanilla ice cream, milk, cookie butter and crushed Lotus biscuits. You made add ice cubes, but I didn’t add to mine as I wanted the taste to be rich. This normally serves two, but you can be selfish and have all this for you. I won’t judge you. 😀
So if you also need something to cheer you up that’s so easy to prepare or you just want something cold to beat the summer heat, this Cookie Butter Ice Cream Shake is perfect. 😉
Now, I am heading to Angie’s Fiesta Friday #237. I will be partying with my amazing friends – I missed them a lot. And yay! I am co-hosting this week, too, with Diann @ Of Goats and Greens. I hope you get a chance to join us – it’s so much fun and yummy foods. 😀
Cookie Butter Ice Cream Shake
This Cookie Butter Ice Cream Shake is a perfect way to beat the summer heat! It is ready in 5 minutes.
Ingredients

- 3 tbsp cookie butter
- crushed Lotus biscuits (the amount is depending on your preference, I used about 1/4 cup)
- ice cubes optional
Instructions
-

-
Add crushed Lotus biscuits and mix.

Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
It is a spread made with speculoos biscuits, if I am not mistaken. It is so good that it became an instant favorite of mine after tasting it for the first time. I hope you give this a try once you get a chance to get a jar of cookie butter.😁 Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, decadence!!! As for recipes, I’m also turning up a few that didn’t pan out well enough to blog up (yet), even if I found them edible… This one of yours looks as though it certainly worked, however! Hey, and thanks for co-hosting Fiesta Friday, the “in” place to be!
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
Thanks a lot, Diann. You can never go wrong with ice cream shake, haha! Thanks for co-hosting with me as well. x

Ha ha ha.. I love your post, youre so funny and very realistic too. I have my days like that and its kinda frustrating that I will just eat ice cream afterwards. But your cookie butter ice cream shake looks so delish!!!

I am planning to get my courage pants on this week and will try other recipes… and I got myself ube ice cream from the grocery and kept it in the fridge for ’emergency’ purposes. And by emergency, I mean when I don’t get those recipes right. Well, if I get them right, then the ice cream is for celebratory purposes. Hahaha! Thanks for stopping by, Mareliz! x

Oh my gosh Jhuls, this looks heavenly! I know what you mean about it not always turning out just right. Mine will usually taste good, but never look as good as it taste. I struggle with the presentation, LOL. I really need something besides my cell phone … I think all your meals look beautiful and I am sure they taste perfect! 🙂
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
I also know what you mean. Sometimes, the photos don’t do justice to how delicious our foods are. 😀 I hate that, too. Maybe in the future, there’s a ‘smell button’ in our blogs. 😀 Thanks a lot, Arl. I am so happy to see you here. x
Cat
Oh my. This looks so delicious and decadent! I could do with one right now.
I feel your frustration with recipes that don’t turn out 100% perfect. I’ve had a few of them recently, but at least like you they have tasted good and just need a few tweaks.
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
My mind is overloading with ideas on how to make those recipes better. I just hope one of them will work out, haha! Thanks a lot for stopping by, Cat! Have a lovely week ahead! x
