I’ve been seeing Baked Feta Pasta on TikTok every single day and I thought I need to try it, too.
I think I’ve been spending a lot of time on TikTok for some time now. TikTok was the reason why I’ve learned this tortilla-folding hack and I am telling you – I was amazed! And I love that I am learning things from TikTok.
For few weeks now, I’ve been seeing the viral Baked Feta Pasta and I got curious about it. What really got me into making it was all the positive feedbacks from people who tried it. Well, to see for myself what the hype was all about, I gotta try it.
To make the Baked Feta Pasta, we just need to put all the basic ingredients in a baking dish except for the pasta and bake until the cherry tomatoes are blistered. The next step is to mash everything, mix and add the cooked pasta of your choice. After that, you can dig in. Easy peasy, yes?
In addition to the basic ingredients (cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, garlic cloves, dried oregano, olive oil salt, and pepper), I added my own touch like baby spinach, spreadable cream cheese, kernel corn, and chili flakes. I also served it with fried chicken breasts.
WHAT ARE MY THOUGHTS ABOUT IT?
It is definitely worth the hype. I was surprised by how amazing it was. After baking and mashing the tomatoes, garlic and feta cheese, it will give you a sauce-like consistency. It was delicious and creamy. I love that this is a one-pan dish and you can add cooked shrimps, any veggies of your choice (perfect with pasta, of course) and even fried chicken breasts. You can customize it however you like. It’s a 10/10 for me. I’ll make this again, for sure.
Although next time, I would have to try making it using a skillet because I also use the oven at home as a storage for some baking pans (tell me about small kitchen space and storage). So it would be a struggle removing them before I can use the oven. I am exaggerating, of course. It will not take a minute to remove and move them to another place, but still… I would try the skillet version of this feta pasta and let you know.
NOTES:
- You can use the pasta of your choice.
- This is the spreadable cream cheese I used, but this is completely optional.
- The fried chicken breast is optional. I just like white sauce-based pasta with fried chicken breasts.
- You can also sprinkle parmesan cheese before enjoying.

Baked Feta Pasta
Ingredients
- 300 g ripe cherry tomatoes
- 200 g feta cheese big block
- 5 cloves of garlic (keep the skin on, I removed the bottom part of the garlic cloves)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt & pepper to taste
- A handful of baby spinach optional
- ½ cup kernel corn optional
- 3 tsp dried chili flakes optional
- 2 heaping tbsps. Spreadable cream cheese optional
- 200 g pasta cooked according to package instructions
For the chicken:
- 3 boneless and skinless chicken breasts thinly sliced (about ½ inch thick)
- Salt & pepper
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs panko style
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven at 400 F.
-
In a baking dish, add cherry tomatoes and garlic gloves.
-
Drizzle some of the olive oil, some dried oregano, salt & pepper. Massage with your clean hand.
-
Place the block of feta in the middle of the baking dish. Drizzle olive oil on top of the feta cheese and also add some dried oregano.
-
Bake at 400 F preheated oven for 25-35 minutes or until the cherry tomatoes are blistered.
While baking:
-
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. You may need to reserve some of the pasta water in case you may need it later.
-
Also, by this time, we can prepare our chicken breasts for frying. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Coat each with all-purpose flour, then with egg and finally with breadcrumbs. Fry in a hot oil until golden brown. When done frying, put the fried chicken breasts on a stack of paper towels to drain excess oil or just place in a strainer.
When done baking:
-
Remove the garlic skin when it is okay to be handled. Mash up everything until you get a sauce-like consistency.
-
While it is still hot, add baby spinach (if using) and mix until a little wilted. Add kernel corn, chili flakes, and spreadable cream cheese (if also using). Mix well. If you think that your pasta needs more sauce, add little pasta water – a tbsp or two?
-
Add the cooked pasta and mix well. Do a taste test and adjust as per your liking.
-
Top with fried chicken breasts. Enjoy while it’s still warm.
Recipe Notes
- You can use the pasta of your choice.
- This is the spreadable cream cheese I used, but this is completely optional.
- The fried chicken breast is optional. I just like white sauce-based pasta with fried chicken breasts.
- You can also sprinkle parmesan cheese before enjoying.
