Ingredients

  • Cooking oil
  • 2 hotdogs sliced
  • 4 strips of bacon (I used turkey bacon)
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • ½ cup corn kernel drained
  • ½ cup chopped carrots
  • 1 egg
  • 4 spring onions sliced
  • 2 cups day-old rice
  • 1 tsp seasoning granules or chicken powder
  • 1-2 tbsp ketchup (I used tomato ketchup)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fried eggs to serve (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add hotdog and bacon slices; cook for a few minutes. Remove them from the pan once cooked.
  2. In the same pan, add more cooking oil if necessary. Add chopped garlic and spring onion slices, then cook for about two minutes.

  3. Add chopped carrots; cook for a few minutes.

  4. Add egg (or eggs) and then scramble the egg until cooked. Add corn kernels.

  5. Add rice and break it down until warmed up.

  6. Add chicken powder and ketchup. Mix well.

  7. Season with salt and add spring onion slices.

  8. Serve with additional eggs if desired.

Recipe Notes

  • customize according to your personal preference
  • you can use grated/shredded carrots instead of chopped carrots
