In a pot over medium-high heat, add cooking oil.

When the oil is hot enough, add ginger and garlic. Cook until fragrant.

Then, add chopped onion. Cook until soft.

Add ground beef and break down into smaller pieces. Cook until almost dry or the liquid has almost evaporated.

Next, add potatoes, soy sauce, annatto powder dissolved in water, beef cube (or cubes) and water. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until cooked.

Season with salt and pepper.
