Ingredients
Cooking oil
400gfrozen chicken popcorn
150gunsalted butter
6clovesgarlicminced
4chilisdeseeded
8salted egg yolkscrushed
Instructions
In a pan over medium-high heat, add enough cooking oil (about 1 inch deep).
When the oil is hot enough, add frozen chicken popcorn and cook until golden brown. Remove chicken popcorn from the pan and drain to remove excess oil. You also need to remove most of the oil and only keep about 1 tbsp in the pan.
On the same pan, add butter. When most butter is melted, add garlic. Cook the garlic until fragrant, but do not brown too much. Next, add chilis and crushed salted egg yolks. Mix until frothy.
When the sauce is nice and frothy, add fried chicken popcorn. Mix until chicken popcorn is well-coated.
Serve with rice!!
Recipe Notes
I used homemade salted chicken eggs. You can use salted duck eggs (homemade or store-bought).
Instead of frozen chicken popcorn, you can use 400 g fried chicken wings. Life is busy so I used frozen chicken popcorn.
