Hot Chocolate Drink

Hot Chocolate Drink is one of the things I look forward to during cold days.

Having been able to make my own instant hot chocolate mix, the next thing to do is to make a classic hot chocolate drink.

I love that this hot chocolate drink is creamy, chocolate-y, and not too sweet. And because it is not too sweet, I could put marshmallows on top.

There were several times that I had to skip the marshmallows topping because of the sweetness of the hot chocolate. And those were all store-bought ones.

WHY I LOVE MAKING MY OWN HOT CHOCOLATE DRINK?

Well, I can have it anytime I want. I just have to make sure that I have this Instant Hot Chocolate Mix ready.

I can customize it however I want. Marshmallows on top? Yes, please. Cream? Grated chocolate on top and chocolate syrup? That would be amazing!

And as I’ve mentioned in my previous post, you know what’s in it especially if you are making your own instant hot chocolate mix.

NOTES:

  • I used homemade hot chocolate mix – it is not too sweet.
  • If you can’t finish the drink, it can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for a week and can be heated on the stove when ready.

I’ve shared a recipe video on our YouTube channel. I hope you can check it out. While you are there, maybe you’d see something you’d like. If you do, please don’t forget to share, like and subscribe. Hope to see you there!

I am sharing this at Fiesta Friday #365 and our co-host for this week is Eff @ Food Daydreaming.
