Ingredients

  • 250 g uncooked pasta I always prefer spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil from the gourmet tuyo
  • 3 tbsp garlic minced
  • Half or whole jar of gourmet tuyo drained, reserve the oil
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes cut in half, optional
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Nestle all-purpose cream (or cooking cream)
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) evaporated milk
  • 2 handful of baby spinach washed and drained
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.

While the pasta is cooking:

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and add 1 tbsp oil from the jar of gourmet tuyo.
  2. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Once the garlic is fragrant and cooked, add the drained half or a whole jar of gourmet tuyo with 2 tbsp of oil from the jar of gourmet tuyo.
  4. Add cherry tomatoes, cream and evaporated milk. Let it simmer for few minutes then add the cooked and drained pasta and two handfuls of spinach. You can add more halved cherry tomatoes if you like.

  5. Turn off the heat and season your pasta with salt and pepper. (You can even add chili flakes.)

  6. Serve with grated parmesan cheese.

Recipe Notes

The amount of gourmet tuyo depends on you. I used a large jar, so I only used half of it. I need to keep the half to enjoy with rice. :D

I used Nestle all-purpose cream usually sold in any grocery store in the Philippines. If you are outside the Philippines, you may find it in the Asian section in your local grocery store. If not, you can use cooking cream.
