I am writing this to let you know the measurements of the cups and spoons I use.
If you are new to cooking and baking, it is best to do a research (e.g. How to get the right measurement for flour when you are using cups?, What is the good substitute for cake flour?). That’s what I do when I am not familiar with the ingredients or when the dish is new to me. And it helps.
Please bear in mind that the recipe instruction is just a guide. You may find that you need to bake your cookies longer than directed, or you can shorten the baking time. OVENS DIFFER FROM EACH OTHER – you need to adjust. The same goes when you are cooking – adjust the seasoning according to your taste or shorten the cooking time if necessary. When the recipe says ‘saute the garlic for 3 minutes‘ but your garlic looks like its burning at 1 minute, then you have to stop. Keep in mind that if the recipe didn’t work for you, try something else – maybe try another recipe or improvise? It’s up to you. The same recipe worked for the blogger and for some readers – why it didn’t work when you made it? That’s something only you can answer.
I am sharing this coz I’d like to let you know what I do when there’s a “doubt” or I am not feeling confident enough. I hope this helps you in some way or another.
