Work Lunch Diaries #3
Another week, another work lunch ideas…
With our busy schedules, it can be difficult to find time to make a healthy lunch for work. But if we spend a little time preparing our meals ahead of time, it can make a big difference. When we plan and prepare our meals in advance, we have healthy and tasty options ready to go. It also saves us time in the mornings when we’re rushing to get ready. By preparing our meals, we can make smart food choices even when we’re busy, which helps us feel better and be more productive throughout the day.
KISIR. It is a traditional Turkish dish made from bulgur wheat mixed with chopped vegetables, herbs, and a zesty dressing. Its vibrant colors and refreshing flavors make it an excellent choice for a work lunch. (Recipe here)
You can serve this as is or with some protein, like grilled chicken. I served mine with boiled eggs and lemon and lemon and paprika chicken thighs (see below).
LEMON AND PAPRIKA CHICKEN THIGHS. These air-fried chicken thighs are seasoned with a zesty blend of lemon and paprika. Your taste buds will surely dance with each bite. It is served with sriracha mayo sauce! So good!! (Recipe here)
This dish goes perfectly with rice, in wraps, sandwiches, or even salads.

I like your lunch ideas, Jhuls. Maybe I’ll steal some of these ideas for my husband’s lunches. I don’t even bring lunch to work, only snacks – chips or crackers and sometimes PB&J… so sad…

Great lunch ideas and I love how versatile the kisir is! I have never heard of it but must give it a try and I would eat your lunch any day! 🙂

Jhuls, do you remember Selma’s recipe that won an award? It was a combination of chicken and potatoes in a yogurt marinade. I was trying to find it on her website and didn’t see it. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thank you.

It is, thank you so much!!! I made it a few years ago and would like to make it again. Sorry to be so late in replying, I have been laid out with a bout of Covid-19. Thankfully I am not terribly ill, but very low energy at the moment.
