Garlic Pepper Beef

I’ve been seeing Garlic Pepper Beef recipes on TikTok FYP lately and I couldn’t help it but to make it, too.

Garlic Pepper Beef was cancelled from Jollibee’s menu and now it’s back! People in the Philippines are probably enjoying the comeback, but not us here in UAE. The only solution is to make it ourselves.

Although so many of us (Filipinos) love this dish from the said fast-food chain, we also try make it at home to save money and to control the ingredients we use. My number one reason – it’s not in Jollibee UAE menu.

Making this dish is very easy; even marinating the beef is not required. It’s like stir-frying the beef slices for less than 10 minutes, then prepare the gravy which doesn’t take a lot of time, too.

Garlic Pepper Beef is like an upgraded version of beef tapa that’s topped with gravy. It’s absolutely perfect with a warm rice. And guess what? BFF and I finished the dish in one sitting.😁

NOTES ON GARLIC PEPPER BEEF:

  • I used low-fat beef cubes, then I cut it thinly and across the grain.
  • The gravy recipe is more than enough for 250 g of beef. If you are not a gravy person, you can half the gravy recipe. I used the leftovers with fried chicken wings.
  • This makes 2-3 servings.

  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
