Cookie Butter Overnight Oats
This Cookie Butter Overnight Oats made me love overnight oats.
I never liked oatmeals. The sticky-like and mushy texture – no! I do enjoy a good oat drink, but never ever oatmeals, especially when it is cold like overnight oats.
I tried making different oatmeals, but I didn’t like all of them. Then I thought – maybe oatmeal will never be a part of my world. Well, that was before I discovered the yumminess of cookie butter a few years ago.
I was alone, reading a book and I wanted something to eat. I saw a jar of cookie butter and a container with oats next to each other. And I thought – ‘why not?‘. Then it was the time I started to like oatmeal (note: only the one mixed with cookie butter).
Although I started to like oatmeal, I never tried overnight oats. Well, my idea of a delicious oatmeal is fresh and warm. Again, I was open to the idea of trying overnight oats. I tried something else and it was oookaaaaay, but not blogable (alert!!! that’s a new word! lolol). I finished the whole serving, but I don’t think I’ll be making it again. Then I thought – maybe overnight oats will never be a part of my world. I know – I have mentioned that before.
Then one day, I was in a grocery store and I saw a jar of cookie butter. I was like ‘Aha! You are the answer to my overnight oats!‘ The next thing I know, the jar is almost empty because I have used 95% of the cookie butter in making overnight oats and I enjoyed every spoonful of this cold, sticky-like, mushy creation.
Some of the best things about this overnight oats – this has only 3 ingredients, ready in less than 5 minutes and can stay up to 2 days in the fridge. Or can it stay more than that??
I am bringing this at Fiesta Friday #222. Our co-host this week is Antonia.

Hey, Jhuls! I never liked any form of hot sauce before but now, I need hot sauce in almost every savory dish I eat. So I totally get you suddenly being friends, even slightly with something you never think you’d love. And this cookie butter oatmeal? I can see my mornings are merrier with my kids. So thank you!
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
I love anything cookie butter. 😀
Thank you, Sanna. I appreciate you visiting my blog. x
Amanda

Your photos are so mouthwatering and I love all the babysteps you took to get to this!! Sometimes that’s all you need, and who knows, maybe you’ll even like oatmeal now with other things!
I think you can safely keep that four or five days if you are careful about being clean (and I only mention that because some people aren’t, and do things like lick the spoon and then mix with it…but I’m sure you are!!) but it doesn’t sound like it would ever last that long! It wouldn’t at my house!!
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
I want to try healthier version of overnight oats – maybe adding cashew butter and what else?? Hmmm… Licking the spoon will always be there as far as cookie butter and Nutella are involved. 😀 Thanks, Mollie.

lol!! Me, too!!

Love overnight oats but this recipe sounds like you’ve taken it to a whole new level!
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
Yay! Thanks, Mandy. It is not all the time I think ‘creatively’, haha. So this one makes me really proud of myself. It might be very simple and not sure if it could be called a recipe at all, but I am glad you liked it.

I love baking with oats and making granola, but I’ve never liked oatmeal either. I’ve tried many times, without success, so I will have to try this out. It looks great and I know my husband will love it. Thank you for sharing your delicious and creative recipe at Fiesta Friday. Happy Fiesta Friday Jhuls!
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
Hello, Antonia. I can’t believe I enjoyed overnight oats. Well, just this one for now. I will try to whip up another recipe and we’ll see. 😀 Thanks for hosting this week’s FF! x
Angie | Fiesta Friday
I’ve never even made overnight oats, Jhuls, but I do enjoy regular hot oatmeal/porridge. With lots of brown sugar and nuts and fruits! 😀
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
Hi, Angie. I have seen recipes with brown sugar – I think they would be nice, too. Happy Fiesta Friday. x
Jess
How interesting! Oatmeal has always been a ‘no’ for me too–but Lotus spread is a most definite YES. I’d be interested to see how this would taste, thanks for sharing Jhuls 🙂
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
I think my jar of Lotus spread is almost empty only just because of this one. That means this is really good that you have to try it, haha! Thanks, Jess! Happy FF! x
Kat
Yum! I have loved overnight oats since the first time I made them! I am glad that you found a way to enjoy oats as well!
Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook
Hello, Kat! Thanks – I never expected I would almost finish the whole jar of Lotus spread in making overnight oats alone. 😀
