Nutella French Toast Roll Ups
Let’s talk about Mornings!
My heel was in pain for more than two weeks. For the first week, it was only painful during the first few steps. It lasted for a week. The second week was the worst – the pain became stronger and it lasted for almost the whole day. That’s when the time I decided to take an action – I bought pain reliever cream and thankfully, the pain went away.
I thought I would be back to being hyper again, but I was wrong.
The next day after the heel pain was gone, my left fingers came in next – I couldn’t straighten or bend my fingers especially the middle and index finger. If you are asking me how am I typing today, the only finger working on my left is the ring finger. It’s horrible, I know. It seems like I have a sprain, but I really could’t figure out why and how I got this. The pain just suddenly popped up two days ago. :'(
And it’s weekend! How am I going to enjoy baking and cooking? Or how am I going to be done with the errands?? I think this is the how my body tells me to learn to relax.
I am a morning person. Even if I don’t want to, I am still a morning person. I try my very best to wake up late during weekends, but it’s crazy that I wake up early. There are times I wake up at 6am and can’t go back to sleep. There are times that I wake up earlier than that. I don’t know, but maybe I get so much excited during weekends – movies, cooking and baking!
So when these times happen, I get to prepare easy or complicated breakfast – whatever I fancy. French Toasts? Oh, they are my favorite, but I don’t make them often. But when I do, don’t expect leftovers. 😀 French Toast Roll Ups with Nutella? I’m in heaven.
These are so good – buttery and crisp from outside and full of Nutella goodness inside. Every bite is divine! Aside from that, these can be served as is or with fruits and cream – the choice is yours.
Nutella French TOast Roll-Ups Recipe

Notes:

Hi, Maggie. Sorry, I am crazy busy. I hope you are feeling much better now.
Have a lovely weekend. Sending you big hugs.
Maggie
Hi Jhuls,
Thank you so much for the hugs they are really appreciated. It’s not a problem at all. I know how easily one gets busy.
We had to wait nearly a month for her to come home. Thankfully we were able to have a lovely funeral.
I am only slowly getting back into cooking but have a few recipes I’ve been trialling so I hope to get back to normal fairly soon!
How have things been for you?
Jhuls
I wish I could make you feel better in some ways.
I am good, Maggie – thanks for asking. xx
Maggie
Even just checking in makes me feel miles better! Finally working on a recipe!

Ooh I love a bit of French toast. I usually have it with either a sprinkling of sugar or tomato ketchup. I’ve not spread it with Nutella before but I’d imagine it tastes fabulous.
I hope you’re feeling better soon x

What a simple way to enjoy French toast – I will take mine with a little maple syrup drizzled on top! By the way, I attended a garden conference yesterday and one of the speakers had all of these beautiful slides from a trip to Thailand. I was especially impressed with the markets and all of that fresh food. Then how they terrace the land along a river (forgot the name) as the water recedes during dry spells. Just beautiful and perfect rows of flowers, veggies and who knows what – the attention to detail was amazing. I want to go to Thailand 🙂
Jhuls
I think Thailand is really a good place, Aunt Juju. I also want to go there – it sounds like a very beautiful place with lots of delicious foods. 😀 Thanks for sharing your thoughts to me. Have a lovely week. <3

YUUUUUUUUM! I never buy white bread but you’ve inspired me to make my own roll ups from pancakes I made last month and stashed in the freezer. I’m going to wrap them around breakfast sausage links. This looks deeee-licious, though!

Jhuls, this breakfast looks wonderfully delicious!! What’s not to like …it has Nutella, after all! 🙂 I have to say that I am not a fan of waking up early or getting out of bed before 8am. But hey, if you fixed this at 6am I would be awake and at the table! 🙂 I hope you feel better so soon!! Happy FF!! <3 🙂
Jhuls
Ahh, 8am is too late for me. 7am – that’s the maximum time. 😐

Ahhhh these look to die for Jhuls! Happy FF and please mail some my way 😛
Jhuls
French Toasts coming right up. 😀
skd
That’s brilliant fast food break fast idea Jhuls. Looks amazing. Take care dear. I am sure if you relax over the weekend you will get over the soreness. Why don’t you soak your feet in warm water to which sea salt has been added. It really works!!
Jhuls
Thanks a lot, skd. I just rubbed my fingers and foot (and leg) with anti-inflammatory cream. The pain disappeared not soon – but atleast I am feeling okay now. 🙂 Thanks for being here. xx
skd
I am so glad you are feeling better dear ☺💖
aiming4simple
I adore this recipe! I love that I could add as much or as little Nutella as I like. I had bought Nutella donut this week from Tim Horton’s but it had way too much Nutella for my taste.
I hope your pain disappears soon too! My husband had something similar a few years ago. Not sure if it would benefit you, but when he stopped drinking soda pop every day, his pain went away.
Jhuls
Hmm, I am not fond of drinking soda pop or even sugary drinks except for iced teas. I hope I had the answer, but my pain left already – thank goodness! Thanks a lot for being here. 🙂 xx
Michelle @ Giraffes Can Bake
Aww that sucks about your hand Jhuls, I hope it’s feeling better! We can’t have you out of the kitchen for too long haha!

Oh wow Jhuls! These look soo amazing. I have been wanting to try french toast for ages (I know, I’ve never made it – how is that possible?!) but I think it just got sidelined in favour of these babies! And they look great too – I need me some houseguests to make an impressive breakfast for now. Or maybe just an appreciative boyfriend! He he!
Hoping that your heel and fingers get better soon – nothing worse than not being able to type! Happy Fiesta Friday! x
Jhuls
I hope the boyfriend reads this. 😀 And you will have French Toast breakfast for the next day. 😉 Thanks for co-hosting, Anna. Enjoy! xx
