Tricky Tuesdays #13: Food Tricks

I love eating apples without slicing them. But there are times that I am in the mood for sliced. 馃槈 I love green, Fuji and Pink Lady. 馃榾 I noticed that Pink Lady applies don鈥檛 turn brown that easily. But the other apples I have tried, you have to eat them right away. It鈥檚 good that I found out how to prevent them from turning brown聽by adding a teaspoon of salt to a large plastic storage container about 2/3 full of water and stir before adding slices.

I am a kitchen person, but don鈥檛 expect me to love slicing. And doing the dishes? Nope, I don鈥檛 like it either. However, who would do it for me? So, NO CHOICE. When slicing, I noticed that the chopping board sometimes doesn鈥檛 stay in place. In this case, you can put a paper towel under the chopping board. Or in case, I put a silicone聽trivet.

I love buying bananas . I love bananas. I love when the skins are yellow without spots. Sometimes, I forget to eat them all so I end up using them in smoothies or in baking. When I plan baking ahead, I buy unripe bananas and get them to ripe for 3 to 4 days. Wow, I am happy that I could ripen them in no time. 馃榾
