Instant Hot Chocolate Mix

Making your own instant hot chocolate is an amazing idea because you can control the sweetness and most importantly, you know what’s in it.

Ingredients

  • 120 g chocolate grated
  • ½ cup (53 g) powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup (52 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp (10 g) vanilla powder
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp espresso powder

Instructions

  1. Add grated chocolate in a bowl.

  2. Sift the rest of the ingredients on the bowl with grated chocolate.

  3. Mix everything and transfer to an airtight jar.

  4. Keep until ready to use.

Recipe Notes

Notes:

  • This instant hot chocolate mix is not as sweet as the store-bought ones. You may need to add powdered sugar to the mixture if you like it to be on the sweeter side.
  • I used 70% mild dark chocolate. You can use milk chocolate if that’s what you like.
  • Espresso is optional.
