Ginataang Saging na Saba is simply cardava bananas cooked in coconut milk and brown sugar. It is amazing to eat for afternoon snack or even for a sweet breakfast. It is filling and comforting, especially when it is still warm.

Ingredients
6saging na sabaripe
750mlfreshly squeezed coconut milk
½cupbrown sugaryou can add more later, if desired
1tspvanilla extractoptional
Durian jamoptional
Instructions
Put everything in a pot.
Cook in a medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until the bananas are cooked.
Serve warm.
Recipe Notes
The durian jam is completely optional. I know some of my kababayans (fellow Filipinos) don’t like durian so this is completely optional.
The bananas can be sliced before cooking – just shorten the cooking time.
