Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp white granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp coffee granules
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 250-300 ml milk (I used whole milk)
  • Coffee ice cubes (you can use regular ice cubes)

Instructions

  1. If using coffee ice cubes, make it ahead of time. I made it by dissolving 1 tsp of coffee granules in 1/2 cup (125 ml) warm water. I waited for it to cool down before I transferred it into ice cube tray and let freeze overnight.

The next day:

  1. In a bowl, add sugar, coffee granules and hot water. Using an electric mixer and starting with the lowest speed, beat the mixture until coffee and sugar are dissolved. Then, increase the speed to the maximum and continue beating until stiff peaks from. This may take about 5-10 minutes, depending on the speed of your mixer. This can be done using a wire whisk but will take more time. When the mixture is ready, set it aside.
  2. In your glass, add ice cubes and milk, then add dollops of the whipped coffee on top. You can garnish with anything you fancy or leave it as is.
  3. Make sure to mix before you enjoy!

Recipe Notes

I used 3 tbsp of sugar coz I used coffee ice cubes - I was afraid the taste of the coffee might be too strong. You can use 2 tbsp or more, it's up to you.
