What’s more satisfying than drinking a very cold drink like this Mocha Frappe during a very hot weather?? This Mocha Frappe (Using Instant Coffee Mix) will not break the bank – might be cheaper, but definitely not cheap when it comes to the taste.
I am not sure when I started to love anything mocha. I remember that I always asked for a Mocha Cake for my birthdays. I think I was born like this, haha!
Though I love drinks like this, I don’t usually buy it from coffee shops unless I couldn’t fight it. Well, I did treat myself one day and as expected, I loved the taste I almost asked the person how did she make it. But, no. I didn’t.
I tried different recipes – they were okay, but didn’t make me really happy. That’s when I decided to try making my own. So imagine me drinking the ones I made for two consecutive days. Ha!
I think I went crazy on the coffee mixture that I always ended up with too bitter taste, so I decided to use an instant coffee mix. The chopped dark chocolate and cacao nibs added awesomeness to the frappe – just what I was looking for.
As you can see in the photos, I only topped this with whipped cream, cocoa powder and cacao nibs. That’s because I ended up using all the chocolate ganache I prepared. You could say I got greedy. When I make this again, I will update the photos. Maybe… If I don’t finish the whole serving before I get to reach the camera. Hahaha!
I hope you try this Mocha Frappe. I would appreciate any feedback. 🙂
I am taking this with me at Fiesta Friday #224. Thank you to our co-host this week, Diann @ Of Goats and Greens and to our amazing Angie.

Recipe Notes
- Depending on the brand/kind of ingredients you use, the taste will vary. I advise that you adjust the ingredients according to your preference.
- For the chocolate ganache/syrup I used in this recipe, I combined 90 ml heated heavy cream and 64 g dark chocolate since I don’t have store-bought chocolate syrup.
- I may update this recipe, so stay tuned. 😉
